Some hopes and dreams are built in this small town where a 17 year old is at an important juncture that would determine the route his life will take. Outlined at the crossroads between two worlds, one exciting and alluring-gaming-and another stable and secure, which is education.

This teenager has gained a lot of attention online, as one of the best gamers in his age group at his high school. His skill as a gamer, coupled with broad appeal on social media outlets, has earned him offers from sponsors and e-sport teams. The gaming world is brimming with opportunities: fame can be attained, one can make a decent income, and one can become an important figure in a growth industry. But beneath all the hype are some real and meaningful impacts.

The most influential factor of plunging into the world of gaming is the uncertainty of the career. Yes, the industry is highly dynamic, and its behavior can change overnight. What is popular today may become outdated tomorrow. Also, there is a possibility to have problems with mental health-the pressure of constant performance and heavy competition may lead to stress and burnout.

On the other hand, continuing education offers more stability. Having an academic degree opens up many stable and secure job opportunities for a teenager. Education mainly provides students with the basic skills, such as literacy and critical thinking that one may find useful at large in everyday life. Nevertheless, there is another side to the coin, some risks involved in this decision. Focus on traditional education only may lead to compromising and losing one's real passion. They may feel less satisfied and lose motivation if they choose a path that is not in line with their interests.

With these effects realized, the teenager begins to contemplate how they can merge both worlds. Without having to pursue only one avenue, they begin to devise a scheme by which they can still follow their passion for gaming and continue their education. Perhaps they can take classes online or go to college part-time and continue gaming, all while getting an education that will better prepare them for the future.

They finally learn that the way life works is not about choosing between this extreme and that, but finding a way to put together what they love and what will take care of them later in life. They can pursue gaming dreams while still having a solid educational foundation to fall back on with creativity and determination. This will make their future bright, full of opportunities, and new possibilities.
